101 Things to Do in 1001 Days

Recently, a friend asked me if I’d ever heard of the “101 Things to Do in 1001 Days” challenge.  It sounded like it might be exciting and so my interest was piqued.  I’m all about setting goals and making lists so I decided to look into it.  In accepting this challenge, you are essentially making a list of 101 things that you would like to experience or accomplish in the next 1001 days (roughly 2.75 years).

The website that created the challenge is called “Day Zero”.  You compile a list of 101 personal goals and check each goal off of the list as you accomplish it.  The website maintains a countdown of the number of days remaining and also summarizes your progress.  I encourage everyone to come up with their own short-term bucket list of things they’d like to accomplish.  After all, great things are achieved when we set goals and work towards them! So carpe diem, my friends. Set some goals, get off your tush, and go live a little!  And have no fear if 101 tasks seems like an intimidating list to conjure: I did not have to think of 101 things all by myself.  The website has an idea generator to help you out.  You can also see the “Top 101” ideas submitted by other people, which can be a huge help in creating your list.  Therefore, without further ado (and to perhaps give you a little inspiration to create your own) here is my 2.75 year bucket list:

(And remember, folks, this in only the next three years of your life.  Saying you want to “travel to every continent in the world” would be more of a life goal than a 3-year goal.  So try to be realistic.)
